  • Good guests poor host

I’ve only recently started to listen to the podcast and the quality of guests is great. A wide range from all sides but the podcast host needs to do a little more research, his historical knowledge is very poor. In one instance with with an ira b*** maker he didn’t know the relevance of the 12th July. I’m sorry John you seem like a lovely man but please learn a bit more history there’s been a few instances I just expect a bit more knowledge.

FIGHTING TO FIND PEACE | Eamon McAuley's Story - Growing Up In Ardoyne During The Troubles
Q: Do you remember how you felt when the Good Friday agreement got signed?
Never thought it would have happened. Never thought we'd have peace here. Just incredible. Just amazing.
FIGHTING TO FIND PEACE | Eamon McAuley's Story - Growing Up In Ardoyne During The Troubles
Q: Do you think now, like for example, if it's not something he said or anything, but like if Johnny Adair did want to do one of these kind of projects where they meet up with people from the other side and like talk about the troubles years later, would that be something you'd be open to?
No, because I would be betraying an awful lot of nationalist Catholic people. Johnny Adair was a scumbag, murdering bastard who killed many, many, many people.
IRELAND DURING WW2 - WHOSE SIDE WERE THEY REALLY ON ??
Q: What do we know about the collaboration that did exist between the IRA and the Nazis?
The IRA's collaboration was half-hearted, with many members doubting its viability, and overall, the Germans viewed them as disorganized and ineffective.
IRELAND DURING WW2 - WHOSE SIDE WERE THEY REALLY ON ??
Q: Can you give us a bit of an idea of how much the public would have supported this version of the IRA, and how much their actions and views would have reflected the public or not?
The IRA had only about a thousand active members, representing a tiny fraction of the Irish population, and their declining popularity was evident during the war.
The IRA's Secret American Army | How Irish America Armed The Provos & How The FBI/ATF Took Them Down
Q: What were the methods used to get guns from America to the North?
The logistics were rudimentary, involving buying guns in America and utilizing relay systems to transport them covertly to Northern Ireland.
