  • Glibly Platforming Fascism

Over time this podcast repeatedly supports the idea of dispersing with democracy towards populist autocracy, in a banall embrace of junk “science” like eugenics as an expedient pathway to a world controlled by “benevolent “ techno oligarchs “ with our best interests at heart. I can’t in good conscience support these ideas

  • too much interrupting

For the love of good conversation… this show is incredible, aside from the repeating annoyance of the host interrupting guest responses. For guests to be almost constantly cut off mid-sentence by the host’s voice gives the impression of him having an insatiable, impulsive need to guide the conversation. And while a host does need to do this to some degree, it’d be lovely to hear guests actually finish their thoughts more often… could be a production fix, fading out a response after the point has... more

  • Good Topics, Okay Interviewing

Always good guests on this show, although I would like to hear from more women. I enjoy the hosts, but I wish they would pause and allow their guests to speak and complete their thoughts more often. Sometimes they interrupt their guests mid-answer. I think this happens because the hosts are experts and have something useful to add, but it is frustrating as a listener because I don’t get to hear the full answer from the guests. The “AI for Everyone” episode is an example of the hosts talking over... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Back to the Moon
Q: What operational lessons from the ISS become most critical for building a permanent lunar base?
Logistics and supply chain resilience are paramount, along with crew health management, redundancy, and the ability to respond quickly to hardware failures in a remote environment.
Back to the Moon
Q: How does AI potentially fit into lunar hardware and mission operations?
AI could manage schedules, guide procedures, and serve as an onboard knowledge base for hardware, enabling on-site mission control with less dependence on ground teams, especially during long-duration missions.
Back to the Moon
Q: What is it that you can't really test on the ground, and you're only going to test when you get into space?
While hardware tests can be done on Earth, you can't replicate microgravity, extreme temperature swings, and radiation exposure; flight testing in space reveals how integrated systems behave together under real conditions, which is critical for safety and mission success.
Surviving the AI Apocalypse
Q: What was the catalyst for writing the book Surviving the AI Apocalypse, and how did you and Sharon Mai collaborate?
Bronwyn describes a collaboration where she brings the broad, systems-level futurist view and Sharon Mai contributes deep, operational insight from IT and HR transformation. They wrote the book through a series of conversations that formed the draft, later edited into the final manuscript, illustrating how complementary perspectives can generate a unified message about AI futures.
Surviving the AI Apocalypse
Q: Could you elucidate on that a little bit, please?
Bronwyn explains that while work is a broader concept than a job, the future will likely reward intrinsic meaning and contribution, not just salary. This reframing suggests people should pursue problems that are yet unsolved and cultivate a mindset of adaptability rather than clinging to traditional employment.
