The most important attribute to a democracy (or democratically elected republic, if we are splitting hairs) is an informed electorate. As the media realized that money was to be made in making people anxious, fearful, or emotional, the Fourth Estate suffered. This is why Marty’s show is imperative.
Marty peels back the layers of media agendas, bias, click bait, and general irresponsibility to find what is accurate and helpful. Because facts matter.
A thoughtful, fact-based podcast. Marty speaks about issues that are important but that either are being misrepresented or ignored by national media. His “Drive Time” podcasts are excellent. They are 11-13 minute podcasts that touch on two or three issues in a precise but informative manner. I give this podcast 5 stars because I appreciate the information I receive each time I listen to The Fourth Estate.
This is a great podcast to add to your daily routine- helps me stay informed of the day's important topics.
Love it!
Good concise discussion of events. Mary brings light to many issues in the news.
