In addition to The Rest is History podcast, I recommend The Empire podcast with William Dalrymple and Anita Anan.
That terrible feeling when you realize that all the foreign policy commenters you’ve been listening to are “both sides” fake moderate Trump apologists just dying to explain to you why it’s ok to target journalists . I keep on thinking I wanna hear from people who used to work in law-enforcement, when trying to understand what our current law-enforcement is doing. And then I remember, all those people used to work in law-enforcement…
All-Star Episode with Ben, Scott, Alan & Kate talking what happens when the law flips upside down & you are a legal analyst
Often the beltway smugness & holier than thou smirk ruins the often quality factual discussions about policy & natsec. Please can Alan R never be on again? He’s awful & sexist & just plain bad. Unfortunate, as it can be good.
Appreciate this show when the panel remembers it is a round table and actually have conversations. Leave the minutiae and expertise vomit for in depth podcasts. should be kept to other Lawfare repeated here. Would love a strictly adhered to timer to cut off answers to the starter questions on each topic. People asking questions should get any longer to ask a question than the timer too. Especially Allen.
