The Arsenal Women's Archive
Q: What are the biggest challenges in preserving Arsenal Women's history?
Challenges include incomplete early records, name changes of clubs, lack of video footage from the pre-digital era, and the need to corroborate data from various sources like regional newspapers and handwritten ledgers.
The Arsenal Women's Archive
Q: What motivated the creation of the Arsenal Women's Archive?
Adam explains that the archive began to address missing historical records, gaps in early data, and the loss of accessible material, aiming to preserve and enrich the story of Arsenal Women for future fans and researchers.
Saving the Accies
Q: What did you come into on day one?
We faced a nightmarish lack of handover and clarity around the financials, creditors, and governance; there was no clean starting picture, and we had to move forward despite ongoing surprises while focusing on stability and rebuilding trust.
Inside Hibs: Heritage and Brand
Q: How do you ensure projects like these, including sponsorships and partnerships, actually align with the identity and values of the club rather than just focusing on revenue?
You need to have clear values that the club has always had, and communicate simply and effectively with fans to attract suitable partners.
