August 23, 2026: Just when you think things couldn’t get any nuttier in college basketball, it does and rosters for the upcoming season are as much in the lurch as ever before. State and federal court rulings are allowing a lot of graduated seniors o... more
August 20, 2026: Once again, it looks like Mike Rhoades and his Penn State Nittany Lions are headed to the cellar of the Big Ten. It’s hard to imagine any other fate for a program that has such open lack of institutional support. It’s so blatant in H... more

Essentially just reading the box score, the older guy is so biased towards MSU that you need to ignore anything he says if you want an honest take
I really enjoy the pregame and the postgame analysis every episode. Good insights, predictions, and rundown of both teams they’re discussing.
The old timer in particular is insanely delusional. Never credits the other teams for when State lose. It’s always State didn’t do this, they failed to do that, not understanding that the other team is the reason for the failings. Typical State stuff, really.
As a lifelong MSU fan born & raised in the Hoosier State, this is my go-to podcast for Sparty hoops. I appreciate Eric's organization & commentary, as well as Rod's in-depth & insightful analysis. As a former college hooper myself, it's clear that he's a student of the game, which makes it a lot more enjoyable to listen to, as opposed to so many other uninformed talking heads out there. Keep up the great work guys!
These guys have awesome big ten previews every year, and they even end up getting me to listen to a few MSU episodes each season as well. Go Big Red

Two Michigan State basketball analysts provide in-depth, data-driven breakdowns of MSU hoops, focusing on rosters, recruiting, transfers, and game strategy. Episodes blend legal and governance contexts around college athletics with on-court analysis, offering practical takeaways on five-year eligibility rules, NIL implications, and roster-building timelines. Banter and guest perspectives from players, coaches, and industry voices surface alongside light sponsorship reads, giving listeners a balanced mix of tactical insight and context about the changing college basketball landscape. The show stands out for its dispassionate yet passionate approach, clear game-sense analysis, and willingness to tackle institutional dynamics shaping MSU's fut... more
