  • The podcast I wish I had in grad school

Listening to The Feminist Present feels like pulling up a chair in a seminar that’s equal parts rigor and real talk. I love how they weave history, politics, and feminist thought into conversations that don’t just critique the world but imagine new ones. As a writer and yoga teacher, I find their episodes both nourishing and challenging.

  • Only one episode in but not loving it

I really wanted to love this podcast after listening to a cross over episode with You’re Wrong About, but I just didn’t. Admittedly I’m only one episode in but I found it a bit condescending - grade the feminist?

  • Interesting, engaging and thought provoking

The conversations on this podcast are brilliant. Even though they are academics, as are many of their guests, it’s completely relatable for a lay person (like me). The cross section of guests is great and I’ve looking forward to the next series. I’ve also now started watching some of their video events on their website.
