  • Ditch Sam

Guys please ditch Sam, I know me and all my mates who listen always turn off. She is annoying waffling on too long and talks rubbish too. Guaranteed loads of people think the same. We only listen now when she is not on

  • ‘Of’ isn’t a verb

It’s ok. That’s about as much as I can say.

That said, one of my big bugbears is people working in media who replace the word ‘have’ with ‘of’.

One of the presenters, think it’s Louis, is a big culprit of this.

I’d also say, it’s really lazy that they don’t educate themselves on the pronunciation of players names.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

GW1: Sam's Team Reveal | No Early Bench Boost!
Q: Talk to me about those two Spurs players and what you're assessing Spurs as we head into Gameweek 1.
Sam explains she is leaning toward a locked goalkeeper pairing with Kinski and Verbruggen as a stable base, while debating the Spurs defensive double-up and balancing the risk with other defensive options given rotation risk and potential clean sheets. She values the defensive contribution threat from Van Hecke and the evolving Spurs backline, but remains open to adjustments before the deadline.
GW1: The FPL Q&A with Sam & Az
Q: What is your approach to captaincy in week one, and does Bruno or Harland get the nod?
The hosts acknowledge Harland's proven open-week performance but admit Bruno has a compelling fixture and form; they highlight the classic trade-off between stable captaincy and high-upside alternatives, with a leaning toward Harland in a home opener but keeping Bruno as a close consideration.
GW1: The FPL Q&A with Sam & Az
Q: Which Liverpool option looks best to you in the opening weeks, Isak or a mid-priced double-up like Verts and Sobozlai?
The hosts debate Isak as a high-ceiling pick but acknowledge price and fixture-related trade-offs, with a leaning toward pairing Liverpool midfielders (Sobozlai plus Virts) for a balanced start and potential upgrades later depending on fixtures.
Neale's New FPL Draft! | 3 x Top 10K 🏆
Q: What are your plans around GW4?
Neale explains considering plans for GW4, including potential Chelsea or Manchester United player replacements and a shift in fixtures that could justify wildcard timing, with a leaning toward managing transfers around the international break and reserving moves for GW4 or GW6 depending on how the preseason shapes up.
GW1: FPL Chai's Team Selection | No Fernandes!
Q: Which players are the strongest starting picks in midfield and why?
Bruno Fernandes is highlighted as a core asset due to his goal and assist potential, with considerations for balancing risk by including other high-ownership players like Haaland and Wirtz to cover minutes and fixtures. The discussion also notes the need to secure a mix of reliable starters and differential picks to avoid overexposure to one fixture tree.
