I have enjoyed all the podcasts to this point and have implemented changes and ideas into class and my program from some of the episodes. Great listening for long flights to conferences.
As a doctoral student in CES, I do not think I could find a better way of learning about college teaching. Very beneficial.
As a soon to be faculty member... I listened to one, and that was all it took to then proceed to binge all available. The show & hosts work to sheer the veil of mystery of a faculty role. I’ve laughed, taken notes, felt connected to a larger community, & reduced some of the unknowns of what is to come!
The Faculty Meeting is a wonderful podcast that reviews the inner workings of academia, with a particular focus on Counselor Education. The podcast interviews well regarded faculty (again, largely from counselor education programs) about their experiences in academia. The hosts also have periodic reflection podcasts on prior interviews, which provides intriguing insights into the process of making the podcast and the hosts' own journeys in academia. I feel connected to the hosts and interviewees... more
I listened to the first episode of The Faculty Meeting and am excited about future episodes. It was a nice mix of learning about the hosts and relating to their concerns and experience as university faculty.
