  • Very badly edited

Updating my review to one star because each episode has some very bad editing, making it very difficult to follow. Sometimes there are very long gaps of silence, other times jumbled and confused audio.

Paulie B: More empathy, more time. Less gear, less POV
Q: How has Instagram and other platforms changed what photographers look for while out on the street?
Platforms influence some photographers to chase a recognizable style or momentary attention, but many continue to follow personal inspiration and use social media as a catalyst for learning rather than a sole driver of work.
Paulie B: More empathy, more time. Less gear, less POV
Q: Walk me through why Walkie Talkie is different from other street photography content on YouTube.
Walkie Talkie aims to reveal the everyday realities, failures, and processes of photographers on the street, highlighting the community and practice rather than performing for views or sensational moments.
Paulie B: More empathy, more time. Less gear, less POV
Q: So let's actually dive in straight away. Who is Paulie B as a photographer and a human?
Paulie describes himself as someone who enjoys candid street moments and values energy, joy, and ongoing experimentation over perfection, while also recognizing a structured analytical background that informs his creative practice.
Chuck Patch: Analogue Street Photography, Winogrand & the Decisive Moment
Q: What's your post-production workflow like?
I use Lightroom for most editing, discard a large portion of shots, and selectively use Photoshop to subtly emphasize elements while keeping a natural look.
Chuck Patch: Analogue Street Photography, Winogrand & the Decisive Moment
Q: How do you balance planning with spontaneity in your shoots?
It's largely spontaneous (about 85-90%), with occasional intent to be somewhere specific; the key is staying adaptable and ready to capture moments as they arise.
