  • Tedious

Despite the content and the presenter’s background in the subject, the pace is slow slow slow. The presenter sound like she is reading from a script, the guests are variable in interest and quality, and the episode are generally far too long. Needs production values and editing.

  • Informative, Fun, and Interesting

The interviews focus on the experience of each guest and uniquely meets them where they are at in their erotic journey. It’s so nice to hear perspectives and about roles that might not resonate with me for play but would love to know more about.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#110 The Psychology of Ecstasy: Barbara Carrellas on Tantra, Desire & Human Flourishing
Q: What led you to write The Book of Ecstasy and extend Urban Tantra to include a wider range of bodies and experiences?
Urban Tantra opened doors for many misfits to find a flag; The Book of Ecstasy expands that vision to include asexual people, cancer survivors, and others with genital complications, offering pathways to extraordinary moments without erasing what may be lost.
#106 Beyond Vanilla: An Asexual Dominatrix on Power, Discipline & Consent with Ms Hyde
Q: What makes a kink ethically managed in relationships?
Ethical dominance hinges on open communication, consent, and mutual respect, ensuring the submissive's needs and boundaries are discussed and honored.
#106 Beyond Vanilla: An Asexual Dominatrix on Power, Discipline & Consent with Ms Hyde
Q: To start, how do you define your sexuality and your kinky self?
Ms Hyde describes a dual nature: a dominant-leaning switch who also embodies an asexual, disciplinarian role, keeping sexual activity separate from the dominant dynamic.
#104 The Rope Dominant: Shibari, Power & the Psychology of Surrender with Mark DeViate
Q: What advice would you give to a young dominant just starting out?
Be honest about your experience, start with clear negotiation, learn the skills, and always center the other person's safety and consent; avoid bullshitting about experience and prioritize consistent, honest communication.
#100 The Choice to Be Owned: Slave Psychology with Daniika
Q: How do you view consent and the ability to say no within total power exchange?
The dynamic requires nuanced communication; while the word no isn't simply refused, the leader needs context and reasons to guide decisions to avoid harm, with alternative tasks or plans discussed when a boundary is raised.
