  • Fascinating! The world’s modern day explorers!

Endurance Asia’s guests aren’t simply endurance athletes, they are the modern day explorers breaking new ground (water and air) to be the first, not just the fastest. To hear the real stories expertly elicited by host Scott takes you back those stories you heard as a kid of famous explorers discovering new worlds, except these adventurers are discovering something quite different - overcoming barriers and breaking boundaries in the process.

Dening Lo - Singapore”s Top Ultra Runner
Q: What mindset helped her perform under pressure at the Nine Dragons race and how does she balance training with motherhood and teaching?
Her mindset was to enjoy the race, avoid external pressure, and run to her best ability rather than chasing a result; she relies on a supportive network (family, Falcons, and female running groups) and builds training blocks with double sessions and periodization to maintain volume and manage fatigue.
Mark Agnew - World First North West Passage Expedition
Q: What was the hardest part of the expedition?
Both the physical challenges of kayaking through unpredictable conditions and the psychological strains of the journey were highlighted as difficult aspects.
Mark Agnew - World First North West Passage Expedition
Q: How did you feel upon completing the expedition?
Agnew felt immense contentment and pride, reflecting on the journey's emotional significance as much as the achievement itself.
Phil Snowden - PT, HYROX and Extreme Endurance Challenges
Q: What advice would you give to runners about incorporating strength training?
I would definitely encourage strength training because it's proven to benefit performance without adding excessive muscle mass, which is a common concern for endurance athletes.
Phil Snowden - PT, HYROX and Extreme Endurance Challenges
Q: How did your background in the army influence your approach to endurance sports?
The army instilled a sense of discipline and pushed me into shape, which laid the groundwork for my fitness journey and introduced me to dealing with physical and mental challenges.
