  • Maddeningly inconsistent

We had a nice 4 month run when George first changed this from a weekly podcast to a MWF format. The past 6 weeks or so have missed about an episode a week (largely unrelated to holidays), and the episodes we do get spend the first few minutes apologizing and making excuses for a missed show or telling us about the next episode which may never come. It’s the offseason, the perfect time to say you don’t have enough content (or admit you have too many side projects) and go back to a 1/week show so ... more

  • Gaslighting Fans?

I agree some OSU fans can be extreme…. VERY extreme. Just because someone thinks there are issues in a particular area for the team doesn’t mean OSU fans think they’re going 5-7. C’mon really? The defense didn’t look great against Marshall. It’s ok to say that. Jim Knowles agreed and didn’t give anyone player of the game. Allowing 200 yards to Marshall in a half isn’t going to beat Georgia. Day and Knowles know that. Beating Penn State, Notre Lame, and Rutgers isn’t good enough anymore. It’s tim... more

  • Had to switch to 4 stars

The new guy not only doesn’t understand that the playoff is expanding…which was just straight up dumb…he also hates LeBron? This is Ohio, that man does more for this state than anyone else.

Is Johnny ok? He sounds a bit “sleepy” to me. Almost as if they’re recording him at a slower speed.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 651: Dan Hope Offers Insight on OSU Team Interviews During Second Practice Week, Pro Day
Q: How did the pro day performances affect football-linked perceptions around OSU's draft stock?
While most big names did not run the 40, the day highlighted positional drills and the capability of players like Carnell Tate and Caleb Downs to check boxes, with Fielding's 57-yard kick drawing significant attention and sparking conversations about how pro day results translate to NFL prospects.
Ep. 651: Dan Hope Offers Insight on OSU Team Interviews During Second Practice Week, Pro Day
Q: What stood out most from the coaches' media availability this week?
The consensus theme was the excitement around Arthur Smith and Matt Patricia taking on coordinator roles at Ohio State, their NFL credentials, and the genuine enthusiasm from both coaches about the 2026 season, as well as how their relationships and recruiting approaches are shaping the program.
Ep. 645: Ohio State Resuscitates March Madness Hopes with Its Signature Win of Basketball Season Over Purdue
Q: Do you think this Purdue win guarantees Ohio State a spot in the NCAA tournament?
The hosts suggest it greatly strengthens their case, especially if they handle Penn State and Indiana, but they acknowledge that the selection committee will weigh rest of schedule and injuries; it's not a lock, but the momentum is clearly favorable.
Ep. 638: Ohio State Offense's Explosiveness Was Down Last Season, But is the Issue CFB-Wide?
Q: Do you think that Arthur Smith's offense is going to be able to alleviate this recent trend?
Yes, because teams were game planning to stop the passing game, but they couldn't generate as many explosive run plays.
Ep. 635: Kyle Jones Talks Disgruntled Steelers Fan into Buying On Arthur Smith at Ohio State
Q: How comfortable are you with him having the play calling duty and taking that away from Ryan Day?
I'm still very comfortable with it because it's a guy who has a lot of experience calling plays in high leverage situations.
