  • It’s bad

I despise these two centrist ghouls, and they have some of the most annoying voices I have ever heard.

  • Average

Listened to the most recent episode and I feel like they nerd out on the facts without getting into the deeper meaning of what abramohvic warped and what it meant for others. Listen if you want to hear them basically read a news article without offering anything substantial. Listened to a couple others in the past and it’s ‘meh’

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Private Equity and Football (Soccer?) with George Pearkes
Q: Are there particular benefits to owning a soccer team through private equity?
Yes, it provides access to leverage and other people's capital, enabling larger investments than one individual might manage on their own.
Private Equity and Football (Soccer?) with George Pearkes
Q: George, what is private equity?
Private equity is an approach where a group of people that are good at operating businesses collects money from investors to buy equity stakes in companies, operating them to improve performance before selling them.
The Cybernetics of Football with Dan Davies
Q: Is this something that you've heard from people? And is that, how do you sort of like, how would you want to frame your thinking in response to that?
It is tricky. It's what my friend Henry Farrell called the doctrine of immaculate corruption.
Interview with Robert Jackson Bennett
Q: How do you balance the blend of genre elements in your storytelling?
I focus on how fantasy and murder mystery can intertwine, allowing for a mix of plot-driven genre expectations without being constricted by traditional boundaries.
Interview with Robert Jackson Bennett
Q: Do you have a canned two sentences on the book?
It's a murder mystery series that doesn't require reading the previous installments to understand the current story, focusing on a fantasy empire faced with invasions from sea titans.
