  • Simply Awesome

Great and varied guests with great questions and input from Dr. DeLuke. This is a mind expanding and paradigm busting exposure to the broader scope of orthodontic treatment and healthcare in general with an emphasis on airway but that’s related to so many other issues that are also explored. The podcasts are immensely valuable and the return on time invested is well worth it. Highly recommended.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What's Causing the Chronic Disease Epidemic in Our Children? (w/Beth Lambert)
Q: What is the 'total load' theory, and why is it important for understanding pediatric chronic illness?
The total load theory posits that thousands of interacting health stressors—nutrition, environment, microbiome, sleep, toxins—combine to influence health outcomes, making single-factor explanations insufficient; management should focus on reducing overall stressors rather than chasing a single culprit.
What's Causing the Chronic Disease Epidemic in Our Children? (w/Beth Lambert)
Q: How did your personal experience as a parent shape your career focus and your advocacy work?
Beth describes initiating a shift from conventional medicine toward root-cause, integrative approaches after seeing her child's gut and developmental symptoms and recognizing a lack of attention to underlying causes within standard care.
From Restoring Teeth to Transforming Lives (w/Dr. Chad Capps) [Ep.152]
Q: What strategies have you found effective for implementing an airway-focused practice while maintaining efficiency?
Identify a sustainable patient load, protect exam time with four exams per day, and design the schedule around long, diagnostic consultations. Build a cohesive team with well-trained staff who can answer questions and keep the patient journey ongoing without overwhelming families.
Treating People, Not Just Teeth: A Physiologic Approach to Dentistry (w/Drs. Hindin & Meyer)[Ep.144]
Q: Jeff, how do you overcome skepticism regarding the evidence-based nature of your treatments?
By consistently presenting objective evidence and outcomes from my treatments to both patients and colleagues.
Treating People, Not Just Teeth: A Physiologic Approach to Dentistry (w/Drs. Hindin & Meyer)[Ep.144]
Q: Jill, what challenges do you face in getting parents to understand airway issues in children?
I face resistance, but many parents already know something is wrong with their child. They come in seeking help based on their observations.
