  • I had to check my ears

Great show and I enjoy listening. I’m in my office at church doing some work and listening to the show at the same time. There are missionaries staying with us and people working in the sanctuary. I looked at my speakers and wondered if I just heard you say $h!t. Before I had a chance to process, I got confirmation by way of the word $h!t-e. Surprising and disappointing. There are loads of other modifiers if you need to use one.

  • Absolute Gem of a Podcast!!

I’m so grateful that I stumbled on this podcast! I’m a regular listener of other Christian podcasts that walk on the weird side, such as Blurry Creatures & Haunted Cosmos. This podcast is definitely of the same caliber of quality content, and I can’t stop listening! I had thought to myself, “I’ll listen to an episode and see how I like it,” and before I knew it I had listened to 6 different episodes back to back.

    Amazing stuff, keep it coming!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

ATH #7 - Max Sternberg - The Rhise of Light
Q: What inspired you to write a faith-based fantasy series?
Max describes drawing on his own faith journey, biblical themes, and a desire to present the supernatural in a way that resonates with teens, while integrating scriptural references directly into the narrative.
ATH #3 - Dr. Brock Hollett - Interpreting Prophesy and Debunking Preterism
Q: What is preterism and what inspired you to write Debunking Preterism?
Preterism is the view that many end-time prophecies were fulfilled in the past. The guest explains his own journey from a dispensational, future-fulfillment framework to a fuller engagement with the biblical text that led him to challenge preterist interpretations and ultimately advocate a futurist outlook while acknowledging the prophetic mysteries within Scripture.
ATH #2 - Dr. Mike Spaulding - Replacement Theology
Q: What inspired you to write Replacement Theology and what is the broad overview of the book?
Dr. Spaulding explains that he wrote the book in response to a rising popular interest in replacement theology, aiming to lay out the history of Israel, the roots of anti-Semitism, and a robust, covenant-based argument for Israel's ongoing role in biblical prophecy. He emphasizes a non-dogmatic approach and a push for careful hermeneutics grounded in the original context of Scripture.
The Dig Bible Study - Genesis Ch. 15-17 - Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, and Ishmael
Q: How could I become a father at the age of 100?
Abram expresses disbelief towards the promise of having a son at his old age, reflecting the challenges of faith amidst life's circumstances.
What Happened to the Dinosaurs?
Q: What was your opinion on Dr. Walt Brown and his hydro plate theory?
Dr. Clary believes there was some sort of Pangea that split apart during the flood year rapidly, and disagreed on the mechanism of how it occurred, supporting catastrophic plate tectonics instead.
