  • Great discussions but sound quality requires attention

I really enjoy your themes, but the background music is distracting and sometimes the sound quality is poor. There are volume differences between the speakers that makes it even harder to follow you. If you improve this I will update my rating to 5 stars

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Designing the Future of AI Data Centers: Power, Performance, and Reliability
Q: How does the framework help data centers be more efficient and dependable at the same time?
By promoting on-site generation and storage, microgrids, and grid-interactive design, the framework enables data centers to reduce peak demand, island from the grid during outages, participate as grid assets, and design safer, more resilient power systems that minimize downtime and energy waste.
Designing the Future of AI Data Centers: Power, Performance, and Reliability
Q: Why did NEMA feel it was important to create this framework, beyond the traditional standards?
Because the data center landscape is changing fast, and traditional standards take years to update. The framework allows real-time guidance, integrates with existing codes, and aligns with evolving technologies like high-density racks and liquid cooling to accelerate safe adoption and practical implementation.
Designing the Future of AI Data Centers: Power, Performance, and Reliability
Q: Can you explain the AI data center energy performance framework to us in terms of why it was created, who needs it, and its intended use?
The framework was built to fill gaps where existing standards lag behind rapid data center evolution. It provides a living, rapidly updatable portal with chapters tailored to different priorities (grid interaction, energy storage, microgrids, cooling), helping developers specify the right equipment and practices to optimize energy efficiency and reliability, while also enabling safer, more flexible interaction with the grid.
Delta Electronics and the Rise of the AI Infrastructure Stack
Q: Can you explain how 800 VDC architectures are changing the way data centers are designed and what Delta offers across rack-level to full data center implementations?
800 VDC is more than a higher voltage; it enables tighter integration with cooling and power delivery, and Delta has been at the vanguard of this shift. We provide products that support 800 V distribution at rack level and are Architecting entire DCs around DC distribution. The goal is to give customers options and a clear migration path, backed by telemetry and field experience from overseas projects, to build confidence as they adopt this new paradigm.
Delta Electronics and the Rise of the AI Infrastructure Stack
Q: Last week at Data Center World you discussed Delta's competitive edge and its vertical integration from chip to grid. How does that depth translate into real-world deployments for customers today?
Delta's depth in chip design through to grid-level implementation lets us influence the entire stack, ensuring the server-level performance is realized in the data center as a complete system. We're pulled in early for system-level design, which allows us to tailor architectures that meet facilities where they need to be, reducing risk and accelerating time to turn up. This approach gives customers confidence that the solution will perform as intended once installed and online.
