  • Great discussions but sound quality requires attention

I really enjoy your themes, but the background music is distracting and sometimes the sound quality is poor. There are volume differences between the speakers that makes it even harder to follow you. If you improve this I will update my rating to 5 stars

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

7x24 Exchange's Michael Siteman on Power, Politics, and the New Logic of Data Center Development
Q: When did site selection transform from a real estate decision into a systems problem?
The shift happened as power, fiber/network access, and political risk became interdependent constraints, making siting a holistic systems decision rather than a pure real estate choice.
Introducing Subzero Engineering’s Dissolvable Air Barrier (DAB) Panels - Safe Overhead Containment for Modern Data Centers
Q: What has created the need to use DAB panels with both cold and hot aisle containment systems?
Gordon explains that traditional panels can obstruct sprinklers and pose falling hazards; DAB Panels dissolve during fire events, maintaining safety while providing effective containment in both cold and hot aisles.
7x24 Exchange's Dennis Cronin on the Data Center Workforce Crisis
Q: What would it need to prove? How do you think, you know, data center employers would have to implement that to change how they hire?
People who know nothing about the data center industry want to get into it; they need to know the acronyms and the language, how to read drawings, and so on.
7x24 Exchange's Dennis Cronin on the Data Center Workforce Crisis
Q: Can you talk about that multiplier effect?
In the oil industry, they only have about 80,000 jobs. But the true number of people employed by that industry is many times that; it's about 47 times that.
Google Cloud on Operationalizing AI: Why Data Infrastructure Matters More Than Models
Q: What would you say is the single most important shift they need to make in how they think about data foundations for AI?
Organizations must prioritize building a universal data catalog to ensure effective governance, accelerate AI development, and ultimately harness the full potential of enterprise data.
