  • Podcast upgrade working

Podcast presenters are much more engaging than the originals. Much more enjoyable to listen too. The last thing to do now is ditch or renew that awful eToro ad at the front and back of the podcast with something more professional and less annoying.

  • “Sell” on “Scuddy”

This podcast could be improved easily and immediately by giving “Scuddy” his marching orders. Long pauses before responding, sounding bored and boring, sounding as though he’d rather be anywhere else. Ditch “Scuddy” and the podcast becomes 4 stars immediately.

  • Inaudible against traffic

Do these guys ever listen to the finished product and compare it with others in podcastland. Don’t bother trying to listen to this one on the bus, in your car or while walking adjacent to traffic. The recording level of these podcasts, whilst generally containing interesting and timely info, make them a waste of listeners’ time while they continue to be recorded at a level that is insufficient against societal noise. I have no such issue with any of the other 20 podcasts I listen to daily or wee... more

  • Audio

I like the show but the audio quality is so bad I can barely hear it and I’ve been trying on and off for many months. Speak to Glenn James from My Millennial Money on how to get good audio.

I’d love to listen to the show but until the audio works it’s pointless.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

the COB: receding rally
Q: Are inflation-linked revenue stocks a better hedge in today's market, and why?
Yes, because these assets tend to rise with inflation, providing protection when headline inflation accelerates, and they have shown resilience in prior stagflation scenarios.
the COB: reassessing rates
Q: What components are driving the hawkish tone from RBA officials?
Officials have highlighted inflation pressures and a live meeting stance, pushing probability of a March hike higher.
the COB: risk reawakening
Q: What do you think the answer to that is?
The guest and host discuss that it's difficult to tell in the moment, but the key takeaway is that selective tech names and value-rich equities could offer entry points, with the Iran developments and macro signals warranting close watching for further clarity on the sustainability of the rebound.
the COB: iron sore
Q: What is the outlook for iron ore prices given current market conditions?
Scud advises caution in reading too much into current price action as it often fluctuates around Lunar New Year; however, recent trends suggest a potential reversal could occur if restocking resumes.
the COB: iron sore
Q: What are the implications of the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court ruling regarding tariffs?
David Scud explains that a ruling against the tariffs could severely impact markets, especially if they need to refund collected tariffs, but if legal, it could boost the U.S. dollar.
