  • Best coaster podcast in my opinion

This podcast is very entertaining, the hosts are awesome and funny, and are not annoying like some other podcast hosts are. Its always fun to watch them talk about coasters. Also very cool they have a upload schedule they stick too (each monday) although its always fine if its a day late! This podcast is not only fun, but its semi-educational! 10/10 aka 5/5 stars.

  • Exclusive Content, A Must-Listen for Park Goers

I thoroughly enjoy The Coaster101 Podcast. It’s a great listen with a wide and diverse range of speakers, which can be hard to get in this industry. Always impressed with how exclusive some of the guests are, too. Best part is it’s easy to listen for the non-enthusiast and is make’s for an entertaining car drive. If you’re a coaster enthusiast or even have any slight interest in the attractions industry, there is no reason you shouldn’t be tuning in to this podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Inside Rip Roarin' Falls with Whitewater Engineer David Chesney
Q: Can you explain the two new switch types and how they improve the experience and accessibility?
The high-speed reversing switches allow the boat to move forward, then turn and return backwards quickly, enabling dynamic motion profiles. The station lateral switch helps load guests with extra time or riding guests with disabilities by pulling a boat aside and maintaining overall capacity. These features integrate with the park's show and theme for a cohesive experience.
Inside Rip Roarin' Falls with Whitewater Engineer David Chesney
Q: David, how do you approach the three world records Carowinds is aiming to break with Rip Roarin Falls?
We collaborate with Carowinds to identify what records they want to target, then tailor the ride system and constraints to meet those goals within timelines and budgets, ensuring feasibility and practicality while achieving intended impact.
Mr. Freeze Receives Some TLC at Six Flags Over Texas
Q: How important was the park closure for implementing the refurbishments?
Closure provided extra time and space for base coating, repainting, and installing new assets without compromising guest experience during peak times.
Mr. Freeze Receives Some TLC at Six Flags Over Texas
Q: What was the role of Plague Productions and WB Licensing in the Mr. Freeze refurb?
Plague handled the scenic, lighting, and show control aspects to realize a cohesive, immersive space, while WB Licensing guided brand alignment and character portrayal.
Mr. Freeze Receives Some TLC at Six Flags Over Texas
Q: How does the plan for Mr. Freeze fit into the park's 2026 plans?
The project is part of a two-pronged approach for the 65th anniversary and capital improvements, with a focus on revitalizing a flagship area and improving sightlines and guest experience.
