  • Great

This is great chess content, not focused so much on moves as on other aspects of the game, all from the perspective of an experienced tournament director. Invaluable content.

The best I’ve heard and I listened to a lot of chess podcast episodes. Can’t go wrong with jazz, chess, and New York. Chess Journeys is my favorite. Perpetual chess and chess dojo are my the most hyped but my least favorites. The chess experience is somewhere in between. You are right there with chess journeys. New in chess is behind you two.

Q: Should I focus on improving my Blitz game, or is it okay to stick with Rapid if that's where I feel comfortable?

Ep. 171: Adult Chess Improvement Q & A
Q: How do you suggest dealing with the emotional aspects of allowing children to play chess against stronger opponents?
It's essential to recognize that not all children cope the same with losing, so understanding their individual responses is crucial for providing a supportive learning environment without allowing them to develop poor habits.
Ep. 171: Adult Chess Improvement Q & A

Q: How do you bring your A game to a tournament?
Neal suggests focusing on playing your best regardless of the circumstances and working on avoiding overthinking or playing for a draw.
