  • Review Update!

Shout out to Matt and Brad for adding Dave Urke both podcasts are worth the listen in their own right! Matt and Brad’s is great. Some great info but also two dudes talking fishing. Dave’s is a new look into a side of fishing many people do not talk about. Trust me you need to listen on Mondays for THE CATCH PODCAST and Every other Wednesday for THE WHOLE ANGLER!

  • “Case of the Mondays?” Not no more y’all!

Matt and Brad have slowly cultivated this podcast to a step above greatness. These two are the best podcast duo. I love their dynamic. I saw that somebody said they didn’t like a bit of their content. And to that I say, “Even though I disagree, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Glad you got that out man.” But, if a may, I believe that the content they put out is the MOST genuine! They’re not censoring themselves, or their opinions. They’re giving us them. Genuine and true. That’s what makes... more

  • Stick to Fishing - No need for the Bycatch

Enjoyed several episodes, but the most recent about smallmouth conservation was my last listen. From calling I don’t know how many things “gay” to I don’t believe conservation experts because I don’t want to wash my boat it was mostly disappointing from the beginning. Loved the theory that plastic is smooth so no need to wash between waters. Y’all seemed like you were building to something that could be truly great. Low effort and gleeful ignorance is the bycatch on this podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Whole Anger S3E3 w/ Wild Bill
Q: How did Wild Bill become who you are today?
From a background in Maine and Connecticut, military service, and a deep, ongoing love for fishing, he built a community around Hooks at Hoodlums and The Whole Angler, turning a passion into a lifestyle and a support system.
The Whole Angler S3E2 w/ Jeff Burlingame
Q: Who's your favorite Angler and why?
I don't follow professional anglers closely and don't find tournaments or the traditional circuit particularly compelling; I appreciate the community and the alternative formats like kayak adventure series and knucklehead events for their exploration and inclusivity.
The Whole Angler S3E1 w/ Luis Delgado
Q: Who's your favorite Angler and why?
Mike Iaconelli stands out for his energy, passion, and ability to build a full brand around the sport, which the guest relates to in his own approach to content and competition.
The Whole Angler S2 E22 w/Fred Roumbanis
Q: Have you ever learned a lesson on the water that you've implemented in your life or vice versa?
You learn a lot about life from fishing, especially about attention to detail, organization, and preparation.
The Whole Angler S2 E22 w/Fred Roumbanis
Q: Biggest fear?
My biggest fear is encountering a water moccasin while fishing, especially when my kids are around.
