This review is specifically for the Peter Jackson movies podcasts to date. I was a little intimidated by the length of the podcasts but it felt like no time had passed when they started wrapping up the podcasts because it was so interesting. more
This is such a great show! The hosts are deeply knowledgeable, but they wield that knowledge so gently that I feel myself learning instead of feeling lectured. They share so much love for Tolkien’s work and the films (and New Zealand!). If you are tired of raging fan boys, this is the place for you.
This by far the best episode recap podcast - Insightful, intelligent, and funny. They’re a joy to listen to. In a field filled with lore snobbery and swearing, Penny and Anwen are a breath of fresh air.
I don’t think I could watch this show without this podcast and these hosts. A web and Penny have a great format and amazing chemistry together, I could listen to them talk Tolkien all day. more
I'm really enjoying Penny and Anwen as they dive into the second age of Middle Earth. They provide an honest and fair view of the episodes. Spoilers are put mostly at the end, so you can listen without worry. more
