  • Great for photographers, photo lovers and artists in general

I just listened to the episode with Andrew Moore, one of many interviews I've enjoyed.

Some photography podcasts are technical, focused on cameras and equipment, and this will go there sometimes, but it is much more about the soul of photography. Which is probably our own souls. Passionate artists talk about their art in a way all can enjoy, and with stories from around the world that expand your field of vision.

  • Wonderful Conversation with Joel Meyerowitz

Ibarionex, episode 615 was amazing, for two fundamental reasons in my mind. First Joel is such an interesting and thoughtful individual. He so openly shares his thought processes about making pictures and prints! It was very interesting to hear such candid information from such an experienced and acclaimed photographer. Secondly, you did a great job of asking questions which directed Joel to those areas of conversation which got to the heart of photography and decision making every photograp... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TCF Ep. 656 - Stephanie Pommez
Q: Why shoot on film and how did that influence the book's design?
Film was chosen for its tactile, experiential quality and the book uses overlays and a square format to create a narrative that feels like a story or fable, blending documentary truth with mythic storytelling.
TCF Ep. 656 - Stephanie Pommez
Q: How did you gain entry and build trust in the communities you photographed?
She emphasizes the need for self-awareness, avoiding preconceived ideas, and long-term, non-judgmental engagement to foster genuine collaboration and trust.
TCF Ep. 656 - Stephanie Pommez
Q: What first sparked your awareness of the Hibidine people and midwives?
The guest explains growing up in Brazil with a curiosity about different forms of life and cultures, which gradually narrowed to focusing on Hibidine women and traditional midwives as the core of her work.
TCF Ep. 654 - Jamey Price
Q: What did you have to learn how to do in camera to make sure you have a deliverable that the client is going to be happy with?
I learned to balance exposure (shutter speed, aperture, ISO) in-camera without relying on post-processing, which is essential for fast-paced sports where immediate delivery is required.
TCF Ep. 654 - Jamey Price
Q: What do you think about being an athlete, especially at the college level, that really kind of helped to inform what you do as a photographer?
Being an athlete gave me amazing access to practice photography at my swim meets, understanding the nuances of the sport, lighting, and how to capture critical moments during events.
