  • Meh

Been listening since 2012. maybe time to move on. The guffaws are further and further apart. Instead we have almost complete silence on Netanyahu, which is oddly disturbing, since certainly this figure should be mocked at least as much as Berlusconi. Instead, sadly today’s Bugle is a lot of lazy satire stereotypes like mentioning Hitler every time Germany comes up, or Stalin when Russia comes up. Hardly the cutting edge well-researched humour of the early Bugle.

  • The sugar that helps the bitter reality go down easier.

The bugle is a news satire podcast. The global reach, deep intelligence, and deep absurdity have all done good work to make positive change in my own life makes much more than comedy satire. The wide diversity of voices from around the globe are just as remarkable as the host.

Then wait a few years and listen to them again. That good. Worth the effort to listen to.

  • Lost its way a little

In the last few years it’s fallen prey to the temptation of lefty self-flagellation at times. Not always, but often enough to jar against its own earlier self, and the general political consensus in the uk
