  • Best browns podcast

This is actually one of the only podcast I make time for nowadays since I no longer have a long commute. It transcends any other sports podcast that I’ve ever listened to, and I appreciate that they don’t spend a lot of time on annoying banter. I feel bad saying this, but sometimes Brad’s voice can be a distraction. I think he’s solid like someone else said. But he’s better if you see him on a video and I also think he does better when he works solo. I think part of that is just the juxtapositio... more

  • Jake is the best

Love Jake and Brads informed angles on everything Browns. I am a fan from the UK and the way Jake explains player weaknesses and strengths and the Xs and Os through his breakdowns really improve your understanding of the game and the Browns. His rants at times after many a loss and catastrophic decision sum up exactly how it feels to be a Browns fan. He was also key in bringing in Jack Duffin whose expertise on the cap is brilliant. Ace podcast.

  • Dallas’ 2027 1st round pick

This is Dave from Rochester. Enjoyed your Monday show talking about trade down scenarios. However, wanted to let you know that the Cowboys do not own their first round pick in 2027 anymore. They treated it away to the Jets for Quinnen Williams. That being said, the only first rounder they own in 2027, is Green Bay’s first rounder.

  • My thoughts

For many years has been my favorite Browns podcast. Cannot say enough about the work the Jake has done building a great show. Has had a few co-hosts throughout the years, but Jake has carried the show all the way through. Don’t listen much anymore, Brad is a great football mind and has sound takes on the Browns, but can’t stand hearing his nasally, mumbling voice. Sounds petty and unfair for what the show is meant for, but in “listening only” form, I just can’t do it. No shade, just my thoughts,... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Preseason Mailbag Part I — Watson Decision Fallout, Roster Questions, and the 2027 Path
Q: How might the four-quarterback scenario be resolved?
The hosts argue that carrying four quarterbacks isn't feasible; at best one or two may be kept on the roster or placed on the practice squad, with Dylan Gabriel as a potential candidate for the practice squad and others competing for limited spots. The discussion highlights the tension between evaluating talent and maintaining roster practicality.
Preseason Mailbag Part I — Watson Decision Fallout, Roster Questions, and the 2027 Path
Q: How many players might be added at cutdowns, and which positions are likely targeted?
They discuss a realistic range of three to four additions to cover needs such as corners, a tight end, and an edge rusher, with the caveat that some flexibility exists depending on injuries and camp performance. They also consider potential trades to augment the roster and the importance of balancing immediate needs with long-term strategy.
Preseason Mailbag Part I — Watson Decision Fallout, Roster Questions, and the 2027 Path
Q: What would a successful 2027 season look like for the Browns besides quarterback play?
The answer centers on four main ideas: establishing a solid offensive line, cultivating young players who can contribute in 2027, improving the defense (especially the corner position), and ensuring enough depth to remain competitive while not sacrificing long-term draft position. The hosts stress that a successful year would see core pieces develop and the team position itself to compete for a top quarterback in the next cycle without overreaching this season.
Understanding the Deshaun Watson Insurance Relief, and "26 for 26" Continues with Ronnie Hickman
Q: Maybe you can start, Brad, by reading some of what Pro Football Talk Mike Florio put out there.
Florio presented optimistic numbers, but closer inspection from Over the Cap and Texans cap researchers shows those figures are incorrect; the real relief comes from subtracting insured paybacks from the original prorated bonuses, which drastically lowers the claimed $88 million figure.
Our Origin and Reason For Becoming Browns Fans, and "26 for 26" Continues with Alex Wright
Q: What is your earliest memory of being a Browns fan?
Brad recalls the late 80s to mid-90s memories with aunts and uncles, on-field heartbreak, and the pace of growing up in Ohio.
