Considering the Bible's saintly reputation, it packs surprising gore, horror, and depravity. As well as beauty, wisdom, and tedium. For millennia, the Bible has held Western culture captive to its strange stories of ancient people trying to figure out God.Maybe you're not religious, but you're curious about the Bible. Maybe you grew up in church, but you're looking for a new way to relate to the B... more

This podcast changed my life, and the view I have on one of my sons who is autistic, and now I can love him better than I have loved him. Thank you Sam, your beautiful and I love you.
The only thing I could say against this podcast is that I wish there would be more episodes available. I learnt so much about the Bible in the discussions both hosts had, and I really appreciate that the podcast brings out both the beauty of the text and grapples with the contradictions and problems. I really enjoy it, and enjoyable for anyone who is curious and wants to learn more.
Theology is nothing without a diversity of perspectives, and two of the most beautiful and meaningful theological perspectives I’ve heard come from this podcast. I’m grateful for Sam and Amanda.
I love that Amanda and Sam challenge me on a Theological, intellectual, and even a moral level. As a Theology grad they also appeal to the Bible Nerd in me which I miss from my days in college. I also love that they are able to bring their own struggles and how they relate to stories in the Bible into focus. Thank you both!
Hugely helpful to those coming up and through reformed and conservative Christian views. Listen up friends, this is a helpful view.
