  • Breathe. So much vocal fry. Misophoniacs beware. 3 stars because I couldn't last more than 30 seconds. The host set the record for the strongest vocal fry I've heard on a podcast yet. Breathing is good for humans.

  • 3 episodes - call me a fan!

Only 3 episodes out so far, but I’m excited to have stumbled over this podcast and can’t wait to keep listening. Excellent conversations - and giving center stage to the ending (rather than the beginning) of things is a breath of fresh air in the trans/queer/anarchist/culture-critical podcasting world!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 33 - Opening Up the Personal Essay (Trans Style) With Megan Milks
Q: How did Mega Milk come together as a book, and why use milk as the organizing principle?
The book formed organically around exploring how a name and a body relate to transness, with milk serving as a powerful metaphor that connects nourishment, biology, culture, and politics, allowing the writer to move beyond a single linear narrative into a broader exploration.
Episode 34 - A Listener Letter with Amar: All Relationships have some form of pain
Q: What advice do you have for someone trying to finish the 'narrative' of a relationship without forcing a tidy ending?
Recognize that not all experiences fit a clean narrative; seek closure through personal meaning, community, and honest dialogue, while giving oneself permission to let the story remain unresolved in ways that feel authentic.
Episode 34 - A Listener Letter with Amar: All Relationships have some form of pain
Q: How should we think about polyamory in relation to identity, rather than as a fixed label?
Polyamory should be understood as a set of desires and relational possibilities rather than a rigid identity; it allows for a broader, more flexible approach to relationships that accommodates change and avoids pressuring people into a single model.
Episode 34 - A Listener Letter with Amar: All Relationships have some form of pain
Q: What stood out most to you about the letter and its context?
The letter intertwines a major shift in personal relationship structure with the realities of war, displacement, and resource scarcity, raising questions about how to pursue desire openly while navigating external crises and internal grief.
Episode 19 - Thinking Feeling Doing with Conner Habib
Q: What do you imagine we can add feeling to thinking and acting?
We can add feeling to thinking and acting by transforming our feelings into actions that are informed and reflective rather than reactive and passive.
