  • Too many adds!

Pretty good show with some interesting information but oh my gosh WAY WAY too many adds. Like 1 or 2 I totally get but there are some episodes where there is like 4 or 5! It has seriously made me not want to listen. 5-10 minutes of adds for a 30 minute show is just too much.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Breastfeeding with Larger Breasts
Q: Cindy, can women successfully breastfeed with large breasts?
Absolutely. No question about it; with proper technique, positioning, and support, large-breasted women can successfully breastfeed.
Nutrition Tips for the Breastfeeding Mom
Q: What nutrients are most important for a breastfeeding mom in the early postpartum months?
Key nutrients include omega-3 fatty acids for baby brain development and mood, vitamin D for bone health and cancer risk reduction, healthy fats for hormonal balance, and probiotics for gut health and immune support; aim for a well-rounded, intuitive approach rather than strict calorie counting.
Finding Clean, Safe Places to Pump Your Breast Milk
Q: Hi, I am breastfeeding my nine month old son, and I would like to know if there is a way to make more milk without going back into oversupply territory, or is it just pump, pump, pump?
The expert suggests staying balanced rather than chasing excess; set interim daily goals for milk output, and focus on sustainable pumping while avoiding hyperlactation and related issues.
Understanding Breast Pumps and Pump Parts
Q: What are the main categories of breast pumps and how do you decide which to buy?
Pumps fall into manual and electric; electric pumps can be single or double, and many moms opt for a double pump to save time, with hospital-grade pumps available for multiple users. The best choice depends on how often you'll pump, whether you're establishing supply, and if you need to pump both breasts at once.
Babywearing and Breastfeeding
Q: What are the best practices for nursing in a carrier when starting out?
Start by watching for signs of hunger, choose a comfortable spot, wrap or position the baby to create a cozy space, nurse in a relaxed setting, and gradually practice on walks as you both gain confidence; always ensure the baby is in a safe cradle position and upright after feeding.
