  • Great Concept…but 🤷‍♂️

Great concept, and plenty of good topics are covered on the podcast. A majority of the information is helpful.

    BUT…

The two guys doing the podcast have ZERO personalities. They literally sound like the old SNL skit, where they make fun of National Public Radio.

The guys often ask questions of their guest, where I’m (and, the guest, too) often thinking “The guy literally went over that already. He actually covered that topic in depth.” I mean, do the hosts even pay attention???

    If this was a... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Bob Nersesian Returns to Explain What's Changed for APs | BJA191
Q: Has anything major changed in Nevada law around gambling or advantage play?
The guest explains that changes have been driven by the people placed in power on the Gaming Control Board, with a worrisome shift toward casino-favorable interpretations, and cites specific issues like the treatment of coupon promotions and changes to trespass statutes, which complicate players' rights and recourse.
From Nurse to Six-Figure Card Counter: Parcero’s Blackjack Journey | BJA190
Q: What is the key advice Parcero would give a new player starting in a casino?
Be extremely selective with game choice, ensure a nearly perfect counter, and get tested out before playing. Also, manage bankroll prudently, play heads up when possible, and avoid playing from negative counts or in subpar deck penetration.
From Nurse to Six-Figure Card Counter: Parcero’s Blackjack Journey | BJA190
Q: How did Parcero train before bootcamp and what changed after?
He trained heavily at home using a table and kits, studied under Colin and BJA materials, then joined a bootcamp where he was tested. The main shift was moving from self-study to formal testing and feedback, which helped validate and refine his strategy before playing real-money games.
From Nurse to Six-Figure Card Counter: Parcero’s Blackjack Journey | BJA190
Q: What is Parcero's approach to selecting games and how does he maintain profitability?
Parcero emphasizes strict game selection, prioritizing decks with strong penetration, heads-up play, and a sizable hourly EV. He also cautions to avoid negative hands, reshuffle when counts are unfriendly, and maintain a disciplined bankroll management strategy to sustain profitability over time.
John Mehaffey Discusses Best Blackjack Games in Vegas 2026 | BJA186
Q: Is there any good value left on the Strip, or should players look downtown or off-strip?
There is still value downtown and off-strip where you can find 3-2 games at $5-$15, with better overall odds and lower house edges than many strip variants, though availability varies by time of day and property.
