No critical analysis to be found here, content is pretty shallow. The panel just recaps the episodes sprinkling in a ton of “yas queen” and “slay” and other millennial jargon...
Wouldn’t recommended for anyone who’s looking for an actual critic review.
This podcast is okay with most of the content but the overall vibe is very “Bachelorette Party at a Gay Bar™️.” A lot of YASSS GIRL! etc. which sounds super awkward and forced. Much like Bachelorette Party at a Gay Bar™️ this forced vernacular lacks self-awareness and makes creates a lot of second hand embarrassment.
I listened to the podcast Monday. I was surprised the group didn’t focus on predicting that Celeste would focus on Meryl Streep being a bad mother, and not a good choice to raise her grandchildren. After all, Mary Louise raised a rapist and abuser. Also, did you see that Nathan saw Ed talking to Tori?
Love Afterbuzz, love the show, love the panel - but . . . I wanted to give a different perspective. I am a newly divorced dad who is having to go through custody issues battling an emotionally unstable ex. Now while I do agree that Mary-Louise is very manipulative, I don't believe she's psycho and I do believe she honestly is doing what she thinks is best for the kids. I know the Monteray 5 are our protaginists in the show, but come on - apart from Jane, Ed and Bonnie, none of them are great par... more
Pretty basic commentary. Not insightful. And their voices are so annoying!!!!
This podcast is a perfect companion to the show. I absolutely love listening to all the hosts/speakers, they have such an energetic way of expanding on the show while also having FUN! (:
Stumbled on this show recently and have gone back through and dabbled into your other shows. I love the coverage and even use some of the views while shooting y’all out on my own podcast! Keep up the good work and I can’t wait for next week!
So I just found out about you guys this 2nd season!
I love how you all talk/ breakdown the show.

These hosts can't keep a train of thought or provide any insightful analysis. Perhaps a more mature person could understand and report the deep undercurrents of the show. I think any viewer knows that the actors on the show are doing great work.
Could these people’s Voices be More Annoying?? Think Not!
“Like” every other word.
Learn how to speak, you idiots!!
I enjoy this podcast so much! Makes me want to re-read the book and count down to next week’s episode. Engaging & empowering 💚
10 young people talk at the same time and yet say nothing of consequence.
You’ll get more insight by searching #biglittlelies on Twitter than you will listening to this group of 20-somethings yammering on and talking over each other.
I love BLL and was so excited to find this podcast, but ended up quite disappointed.
For me the show is in large part about marriage and parenthood and the hosts none of whom are married, nor parents lack experience, understanding and depth when it comes to these subjects. I find it annoying when they happen to forget characters’ names (I mean... imdb is a click away) and in in general don’t find the commentary at the level that this show deserves.
Very surface level and lots of talking over each other.
