Great addition! I’ve done TBR for 4 years and I am still gleaning additional insights from this podcast. Only one suggestion, please only one person talk at a time. Talking at the same time or over each other doesn’t work in

the podcast world. It’s very unpleasant to the listening

    audience.

  • Gets better every week!

I am on my 4th year of The Bible Recap with Tara Leigh. Adding the Deep Dive to my routine this year has been very helpful as many of the questions that are addressed are the same ones I wrestle with. Even when the questions are not as relevant to me personally , hearing how the hosts respond to those questions helps me better articulate my own beliefs.

In my opinion, the podcast has improved each week. My favorite episode so far is the most recent one which included a question about how God... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Week 19 (Days 127-133): Why was Uzzah killed for keeping the ark from falling?
Q: How does Thanksgiving relate to real-life faith challenges, and how can listeners practice it today?
Thanksgiving is a costly but transformative practice that centers trust in God's character, helps reframe circumstances with a forward-looking faith, and connects daily life to the gospel.
Week 19 (Days 127-133): Why was Uzzah killed for keeping the ark from falling?
Q: What does the episode say about drift and how to guard against it, especially in the context of Bathsheba and Uriah?
Drift is gradual and rooted in isolation and unaddressed vulnerability; the importance of accountability, community, and immediate repentance when confronted is highlighted.
Week 19 (Days 127-133): Why was Uzzah killed for keeping the ark from falling?
Q: Is David's example of worship something we should imitate today, given the linen ephod and dancing before the Lord?
David's worship is presented as a heart response to God's presence, not a choreographed prescription; wholehearted, humble, and reverent worship matters more than performing a specific move.
Week 19 (Days 127-133): Why was Uzzah killed for keeping the ark from falling?
Q: The first question comes from day 127, and it specifically asks why Uzzah was struck down for simply trying to steady the ark.
The hosts explain that the ark's holiness demanded strict obedience to God's instructions, and the real issue was Israel's heart and how they treated holiness, not Uzzah's reflex to save the ark.
Week 17 (Days 113-119): What if it doesn't feel like God is good to me?
Q: What does breaking faith mean in the Saul narrative, and does it relate to losing salvation?
Breaking faith is described as covenant unfaithfulness and disobedience, not the withdrawal of salvation; the discussion emphasizes ongoing rebellion rather than a loss of eternal election.
