  • Please don’t change!

I see some reviews of people who are bothered by the “chatter” but I say please don’t change!!! It’s NOT chatter it’s real life real like discussions which encourage people like me who struggle to find podcasts. To me it feels like I am sitting next to you guys drinking come coffee or tea and just discussing the bible while learning so much!!!

  • It’s ok… I guess.

Not the deep dive I had hoped for. Only listened to one episode and I’m no biblical scholar but could point out inaccuracies. Way too much unimportant chatter.

  • Jesus receiving sin.

Jesus stated that greatest of the law is love God with all your heart, mind, and soul and all the law is based on this. All sin is being your own god and loving yourself. When the Pharisees accused Him of blasphemy they were laying all our sins on Him as they did to the sacrificial goats. Jesus didn’t sin so He didn’t feel the effects of sin as we do until the end when it darkened and He cried out my God, my God why have you forsaken me. (Matt 27:45) This is my revelation which may have co... more

  • Too chatty!

I love the idea for the show but this podcast is too chatty/loud maybe I’m just used to Tara making a few punchlines but getting straight to the point. This is new so I can give it a try maybe it’ll be less noisy as it gets older

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Week 8 (Days 050-056): How do we know which laws in Leviticus apply today?
Q: Why are firstborns treated in a special way in Numbers 3, and why redeem them?
Firstborns reflect cultural norms of honor and inheritance, but God uses redemption to remind Israel that He redeemes and owns all, overturning cultural expectations to illustrate His sovereignty and provision; Levites are taken as priests, redeeming the others.
Week 8 (Days 050-056): How do we know which laws in Leviticus apply today?
Q: Is it important to understand the Feasts in Leviticus 23 if we don't celebrate them?
The feasts are understood as signs pointing to Christ; while not required to celebrate, understanding them deepens the gospel's grasp and can be commemorated in ways that honor Jesus' fulfillment of them.
Week 8 (Days 050-056): How do we know which laws in Leviticus apply today?
Q: How do we know which laws in Leviticus still apply today? Where does the line get drawn and how?
The hosts explain that the New Testament provides the lens: if Jesus or the apostles reaffirm a command as binding, it remains in effect; the civil and ceremonial laws are not followed in the same way today, but moral laws continue because they reflect God's character.
Week 7 (Days 043-049): Do Christians need to read Leviticus?
Q: Nadab and Abihu make one mistake and they were killed for it. Why does God seem so harsh here? How am I supposed to see God as loving when Leviticus feels so strict?
God's holiness is not cruelty; it's reality. Their disobedience was serious and God protects His people by setting high standards for worship.
Week 7 (Days 043-049): Do Christians need to read Leviticus?
Q: Why does God sometimes call for a male animal to be sacrificed and other times a female?
Certain sacrifices varied in cost and representation of male strength versus female life, accommodating people based on financial state.
