  • True to the core

I’ve never found the enneagram very confusing. But was has been baffling is the ornamentation and idolization of the system. There are so many resources out there and they compound each other. ATA does a great job of stripping away a lot of garbage. The weight that is placed on the enneagram has made it weaker rather than stronger over time. This team should be commended for keeping it where it’s strongest - at its foundation and core.

  • Don’t listen if you’re a 4 — Mario thinks you’re too much

If the enneagram is about cultivating understanding and compassion for people who aren’t like us, Mario forgets it when he talks about 4’s. In general he tends to talk a bit too much about himself. If Maria Jose were the main host the podcast would be greatly improved. She keeps the guys on track, asks excellent questions, and offers beautiful insight.

  • Practical and simple but not simplistic

If you want to use the Enneagram in organisations, this podcast is the place to start. MJ and Mario masterfully clarify and distill the nuances of our personality types, leading to powerful client engagements and profound awareness. I can attest to its transformative impact first hand with my own clients.

  • Very informative!

I really appreciate that they bring up some of the stereotyping that happens with each of the types and bring attention to the fact that many stereotypes are based on the unhealthy versions of those types. They have such good descriptions of how each of the subtypes show up and note that one of them is more the stereotype of how we expect that type to show up, as well as point out what types the subtype could get mistaken as. I have found this helpful for “solidifying” what types different peopl... more

  • Fantastic!

I love Mario Sikora and MJ’s approach to the enneagram instincts, I find it much more useful and observable. I’m very thankful they’ve decided to do a podcast. They explain things clearly, to the point and with a bit of humor. I like :-)

Q&A with Claude (Part 2)
Q: Between Chilean culture and American millennial culture, do you think culture shapes type expression in ways we don't usually discuss?
Yes, culture shapes instinctual and expressive aspects of type, and while core type remains, its expression shifts with country of origin, subcultures within large nations, and the prevailing attitudes toward authority and growth. The conversation notes differences in how Latin American and North American contexts influence how people learn and teach the Enneagram, and how younger generations challenge traditional authority structures.
