Unlike some Pushkin shows this is top notch - no filler, nuanced, powerful. Recommended.
The first episode is just concluding and I’m so glad this podcast exists. It’s got a lot of Mary Oliver’s poems sprinkled throughout accompanied by a handful of folks for whom Mary Oliver’s work has effected in vast and varied and moving ways. It seems respectful to the poet and is overall a great listen.
Loved the interviews, the structure, and insights on this podcast. Paul Simon is an amazing subject and getting his perspective at this stage of his life and career makes this a remarkable document. I was very sorry when it was all over!
“Apparently $40,000 is a lot of money in Canada.” Needless snark, why?
Also, the narrator met Diana and doesn’t explain further. The series doesn’t seem to know what perspective it is coming from, and it’s not realism either. Wouldn’t listen again. Once was good.
