“The Vietnam War” begins with Henry Kissinger’s call to put Vietnam behind us. It ends with the Beatles’ “Let It Be.” Ken Burns and Lynn Novick explain the difference, and how the painful lessons of the Vietnam era can help us today.

The host is clearly brilliant. I recognize that some bros will have difficulty because (1) she sounds like a young woman, and (b) vocal fry. These are *not* intelligent reasons to discount the content. Maybe a third of the US population sounds like that. It’s time for you to get over it. Or at least realize it’s *your* problem, not hers.
Amazing brave guests
Great format on how you do your interviews
Keep doing what your doing and I'll keep listening and supporting
Who wants to listen to somebody whose voice is crackling with vocal fry talk to guys on the phone?
Iconic piece of research
Unfortunately, the host cannot leave her political views and privilege at the door. This cheapens the impact of the film-makers and participants words and undermines her objectivity. Her questions are amateurish and her conclusions are too often made through a political or current lens. She fails to challenge the ideals and notions of the film’s creators, and thus reduces the potential relevance of her podcast.
