  • Baseball talk long overdue

Great baseball chat at a good pace from two principals of Philadelphia's fearsome almost-dynasty of the late oughts. Guest suggestion: Pat Burrell, who contributed to the start of the Phillies' run and then played against them in the classic 2010 NLCS--was he always the nutter he became as a Giant?

  • Incredible interviews!

I just finished the Joe Torre episode and it is possibly one of the best interviews I’ve ever heard! Joe had such awesome stories and it was great to hear the three of them interact!

  • Great chemistry

Loved Rollins and Howard together in that Fantasy Baseball Camp commercial years ago where they hazy they fan. I thought it was so funny and always wanted more. Now we have it. They are great together and the real in depth baseball talk is priceless. Love it.

The last competitive at-bat for Logan Webb was a home run in the playoffs, with the most recent regular-season at-bat ending in a homer as well, showcasing clutch performance in pressure moments.
6-1-1 Podcast: All-Star Special - Media Day Hot Seat
Q: Is there any reason you wear the number you wear?
For me, the number came from being handed a jersey early on; I grew to love the traditional numbers and kept 16 because it represented a steady, long-term fit rather than chasing a flashy change.
Morgan Sword: ABS Explained | The 6-1-1 Podcast Season 3 Ep. 11
Q: How is the ABS strike zone defined and how has it evolved?
The strike zone in ABS is defined as a two-dimensional rectangle positioned back from the front of the plate, with its vertical limits determined by a batter's height; over time, testing and feedback helped settle on a zone that feels fair to hitters, pitchers, and umpires, though it remains imperfect for some individuals.
Morgan Sword: ABS Explained | The 6-1-1 Podcast Season 3 Ep. 11
Q: What was the umpire's initial take when ABS was introduced?
Umpires were involved throughout the process and overall supportive, recognizing ABS as a tool that could help calls be more accurate while preserving the human element; some skeptics existed about changing long-held traditions, but the consensus leaned toward leveraging technology to improve fairness.
Kiké Hernández | The 6-1-1 Podcast Season 3 Ep. 9
Q: What was your welcome-to-the-big-leagues moment?
Two weeks after arriving in the majors, facing Jake Peavy and John Lackey, he was confronted with intense on-mound chatter from seasoned veterans; rather than being rattled, he stayed focused, which set the tone for his approach to competing at the highest level.
