I have been listening to this show every summer since 2020 when I was 17, now i'm 23! I love catching up on the past episodes as a yearly tradition. You have inspired me to study popular culture history, I start my masters this fall, with the hope of working or interning at the Walt Disney Family museum in the future. Thank you for all that you do :) I hope you enjoy this glorious 5 star review!!

Matt and Kevin are a national treasure. Their goofy enthusiasm is contagious, and the topics are delightfully obscure. Impeccably researched and sprinkled with witty banter, this show is a total gem. Matt, even though you’re straight, you’re officially a gay icon. Sorry, I don’t make the rules!
I have tried to find a Disney-themed podcast that isn’t obnoxious and could be relatively relatable. The 3028 is that podcast.
I have also started going back through the archives and I can say that they have been consistently high-quality from the beginning
Highly recommend this podcast if you are a theme park/Disney/pop culture dork. Matt and Kevin have great on-air chemistry, and I’m always learning something wild and laughing at their antics whenever I put on an episode - new or old! I’ve been listening since 2017, when they used to keep me company (not to their knowledge I guess) on the commute to probably my worst job to date. Thankfully I have long since moved on, but they’re still recording! I haven’t had an Apple device to leave a review wi... more

The show delivers deep dives into Disney history, theme parks lore, and mid‑century design, often blending archival research with accessible, humorous storytelling. Across recent episodes the hosts explore unbuilt or niche park concepts, historic attractions, and the storytelling techniques behind park experiences, along with vibrant trip reports and hands‑on explorations of park culture. A standout trait is the strong focus on archival detail and “listory” style storytelling, which elicits nostalgia while connecting past ideas to present park developments. This combination makes it a compelling listen for Disney enthusiasts, design historians, and pop culture fans who enjoy meticulous research served with wit and personality.
