  • Meh

Steve Kim thinks he’s the smartest guy in boxing, but he mostly is full of hot air and has a lot of kneejerk and contrarian takes. Lopez is an informed casual, but a casual nonetheless.

  • You gave Dana a Pass.

You didn’t push him or really even interview him. He basically was on the pod just promoting his destruction of the Ali act and the creation of a monopoly that ultimately will eliminate the free market in the sport if successful

  • love the chemistry between Steve and Mario. By far the most listenable boxing podcast I've come across. while the discussion doesn't go too far in-depth, they hit the high notes in a fun entertaining way. bravo

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

3KDR: Legendary Sportswriter Dan Rafael Joins us to Talk Benavidez, Summer Fights, MayPac II Excitement Level & More!
Q: What did you make of the heavyweight fight between Dubois and Ordley and what does it say about the division's depth?
The fight showed heart and grit, with Dubois's ability to come back after tough moments proving the depth of the division, though there are uncertainties about consistency and the long-term top-tier contenders beyond the obvious names.
3KDR: Fury vs Makhmudov Recap, Thoughts on Benn vs Prograis The Latest on MayPac 2, Weekend Fight Preview & More!
Q: Do you think Manny Pacquiao–Floyd Mayweather is still a plausible event, or is it more of a promotional rumor?
It's largely promotional chatter with mixed signals from Pacquiao and Floyd's sides; the consensus is that unless both sides commit publicly with clear scheduling and deals, it remains on and off as a media story.
3KDR: Fundora vs Thurman Recap, Moses Itauma's Savage Knockout, Weekend Fight Preview & Much More!
Q: After his impressive performance this weekend, is Moses Itauma ready for the contenders at heavyweight?
The hosts suggest Itauma could handle more high-end tests, with possibilities including top heavyweights like Hergovic and Wilder in the longer term, but emphasize two to three more high-caliber fights to gauge readiness.
3KDR: Boxing Trainer Manny Robles in Studio Talking Brandon Figueroa, How He Became The Upset King & Much More!
Q: As far as the fight itself, Manny, is there a certain approach you take with each fighter or is it case-by-case?
We focus on the fighter himself, get him in the best shape mentally, physically and spiritually, and tailor our approach to what the fighter needs at the moment.
3KDR: 2024 Boxing Trainer of The Year Rudy Hernandez in Studio Talking About His Recent Fights, Upcoming Fights & Much More!
Q: What are the latest updates regarding the bout between Junto and Inoue?
Rudy mentions that the bout is scheduled for May and that he will be negotiating in Japan soon.
