    Joe is a truly unique visionary. I met him on the Mondale campaign in 84 and was christened a “Hog” by acclamation even though I didn’t work in Iowa. As Connie Bruck said about Steve Wynne, Joe has that innate ability to “see around corners.” What else would an aerospace engineer turned political pro do?
