  • Disappointed

I was generally excited when I was initially approached by a potential. guest appearance it’s frustrating to invest time and energy into a potential collaboration only to be dropped without any apparent reason. For a podcast that champions tenacity I expected a more straightforward and respectful communication process, even if the decision was ultimately not to move forward, it’s a reminder that professionalism and outreach is just as important as quality of the content produced

The Scaling Mistake That Nearly Cost Her Everything with Lauren Kwedar
Q: What was the hardest leadership decision when your business partner exited?
Her focus shifted to safeguarding the employees and reorganizing the business; she triaged people first, recalibrated finances and client commitments, and emerged with a clearer direction for the company's future.
The Scaling Mistake That Nearly Cost Her Everything with Lauren Kwedar
Q: You were laid off while you were eight months pregnant. What made you decide to build your own company instead of going back into another role?
It felt necessary and aligned with a long-held dream; despite the risk and the tough timing, she chose to start her own firm to have agency over her work, help clients, and prioritize her family and personal values.
The Visibility Strategy Helping Founders Get Funded with Liana Zavo
Q: How should founders approach PR in the fundraising process?
PR should be integrated from the start as a credibility-builder; it's about trust and visibility, not just ads—investors want to see third-party validation and a compelling personal brand.
Why Most Startups Fail: The Founder Mistakes No One Warns You About with Andrew Ackerman
Q: What discipline matters most for a founder to stay in the game long-term?
The discipline of testing and de-risking before building, maintaining coachability, and continually learning new skills as the company grows. Founders should be ready to pivot when data and logic demand it, while staying focused on the few actions that move the needle and building a team capable of taking it to the next stage.
Why Most Startups Fail: The Founder Mistakes No One Warns You About with Andrew Ackerman
Q: After seeing startups as a founder, investor, accelerator director, and teacher, what do founders misunderstand most about how startups actually work?
Founders often overestimate the ease of improvisation and neglect the reality that 90 percent of their time is spent on tasks that must get done, with only a small portion used for strategic or high-impact work. They need to move from a reactionary, all-hands-on-deck mode to disciplined prioritization, customer validation, and scalable processes.
