  • Disappointed

I was generally excited when I was initially approached by a potential. guest appearance it’s frustrating to invest time and energy into a potential collaboration only to be dropped without any apparent reason. For a podcast that champions tenacity I expected a more straightforward and respectful communication process, even if the decision was ultimately not to move forward, it’s a reminder that professionalism and outreach is just as important as quality of the content produced

Why Most Startups Fail: The Founder Mistakes No One Warns You About with Andrew Ackerman
Q: What discipline matters most for a founder to stay in the game long-term?
The discipline of testing and de-risking before building, maintaining coachability, and continually learning new skills as the company grows. Founders should be ready to pivot when data and logic demand it, while staying focused on the few actions that move the needle and building a team capable of taking it to the next stage.
Why Most Startups Fail: The Founder Mistakes No One Warns You About with Andrew Ackerman
Q: After seeing startups as a founder, investor, accelerator director, and teacher, what do founders misunderstand most about how startups actually work?
Founders often overestimate the ease of improvisation and neglect the reality that 90 percent of their time is spent on tasks that must get done, with only a small portion used for strategic or high-impact work. They need to move from a reactionary, all-hands-on-deck mode to disciplined prioritization, customer validation, and scalable processes.
When the Safe Path Feels Heavy with Jason VanDevere
Q: So my first question for you is, when you turned down taking over your family's business, what was at stake personally for you?
The stakes were personal pride, fear of embarrassing myself, and the risk of burning a bridge with the family. I also worried about using my life savings on a new venture and the possibility of public failure, which would haunt me if I didn't try something I truly believed in.
The Launch Playbook for Founders Who Expect a Traffic Spike with Michael Dodworth
Q: What is the one system they should build before they scale demand?
Michael emphasizes the importance of having a long-term plan in place for following up after a successful campaign to maintain engagement.
The Launch Playbook for Founders Who Expect a Traffic Spike with Michael Dodworth
Q: How can you prepare for a product launch to minimize risks?
Michael suggests using Fanfare to orchestrate the entire process and ensure that systems are ready to handle large volumes of traffic efficiently.
