  • Quality has gone down with new hosts

I really hope this is just part of the transitional period, and part of me hopes that this is more because of the AI bubble than because of the hosts. Since Jonathan left, there’s been a notable lack of variety in the topics of TechStuff. It feels more like a podcast about AI with the occasional cool tech topic sprinkled in.

I started listening when Jonathan was the only host, and the variety and depth of his episodes were always refreshing. Especially the technical episodes where he’d talk abo... more

  • F AI

Yesh this latest where the host is sucking the snoz of AI made me unfollow. Yes AI can be useful but weirdo tech ego driven creators thirst for it to take over society.

  • Just barely tech stuff IMO

Sorry people I feel like there’s about two minutes worth of interesting content in each one of these 30 minute long episodes and it’s just so grossly padded out to 30 or 45 minutes length perhaps just for the purpose of selling commercial time.

I listened to several episodes and gave it a shot, but sorry, I’m out

Q: You mention three parameters for your experiment—always testing, benchmarking the baseline, and tracking costs. Could you explain how you applied those and what you learned?
I kept testing across domains like healthcare, work, education, and relationships, benchmarked AI against human performance to see where it could replace or augment, and tracked both monetary costs and data/privacy costs, revealing the surveillance-like footprint of daily AI use.
How AI Almost Led To This Tech Reporter’s Divorce - The Story
Q: Welcome Joanna, can you summarize what you set out to explore for this year-long AI experiment?
I set out to test how deeply AI could touch everyday life, but I also kept boundaries to ensure I remained a functioning person and husband, comparing AI outputs to human capabilities to measure where machines excel or fall short.
The ‘Steroid Olympics’ Brought to You By Big Tech - The Story
Q: What does the actual protocol look like for Enhanced Games participants?
The protocol is largely self-administered and tailored; dosing specifics are closely guarded as intellectual property, but it involves testosterone, stimulants, growth hormone, and peptides under doctor oversight, with constant monitoring and safety checks.
