  • Tech radio

This is the worst. It isn’t even on the actual radio. It is in Ireland which also makes it bad because they are all gingers. Real tech radio is better.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

1094: Black Friday and Irish Kids Social Media Ban
Q: Is it a case of, oh, okay, just like GDPR, all of a sudden this is kind of radioactive, it set back our timelines a good two to three years before we're confident in rolling out AI?
While the AI Act has sparked some caution, many enterprises are still moving forward in building AI solutions, focusing on improving existing processes first.
1094: Black Friday and Irish Kids Social Media Ban
Q: Do you find that there's still an alienation out there or a lack of understanding as to what AI is a good solution for at the moment versus something it's probably not ready for?
There's skepticism about AI as a solution because many companies jumped in without understanding the challenges they needed to address, leading to costs without returns.
1093: Air Today Gone Tomorrow
Q: Dr. Farrell, just tell us a little bit about GenAI N3 and where the project came from.
The project originated from the NTutor project and was designed to create open resources for AI in education, promoting a collaborative effort across institutions.
1092: Apple's Chromebook Killer
Q: So this year, we're working with the theme of Then Today and Tomorrow. So kind of a nice way to look back on the history of Science Week, while also looking at the discussions of where it might go in the future.
We are looking back at the history while also discussing future directions for Science Week.
1089: The Great Switch-Off is Here
Q: What is the role of IT in the AI journey of a company?
Lisa highlighted the significance of a collaborative approach between IT and senior management to successfully navigate AI integration.
