I really like Tanis. It’s well produced, well acted and well written. There’s a creeping suspense to it that makes you want to binge listen. There’s only thing I can critique, and this may very well be on me, is that there are SO many characters to keep track of. And most of them sound similar (especially the women) I’m having trouble remembering who’s who. Maybe guide your audience a little more, by giving a brief recap once in awhile? Other than that, bravo! Love it.
I loved this show when it came out. So glad that it’s available on audible— haven’t been able to find it elsewhere. So many of the references this show makes to real life things are INSANE rabbit holes I’ve gone down. Love the way this blurs the lines of reality. It’s been years since I’ve listened stoked to revisit
An intriguing plot, but having reached the end of season 2 I’m throwing in the towel!
The pacing is painfully slow and made worse by Nic’s infuriating habit of repeating EVERYTHING that is said to him! Why? And what is it with that police radio playing in the background all the time?
I get that people need money to make things. But when the 1st thing you hear ep. 1 is "if you like this show, donate!" it kind of puts me off. Having little money myself, I suffer through ads. And holy buckets, there are ads. Even in 1st several episodes, there's more ads than content.
Having said THAT (again - same with "Black Tapes"), it starts off great. But it tapers off immediately.
It's almost as if this specific creator starts with just an idea, and gets... LOST.
Simply the best. Love how they tackle so much occult history while telling a great, spooky story. Storytelling and production are both 10/10. TANIS is a classic as well as the coolest.
