Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

58: What your money story and your body story have in common with Rachel Davies
Q: Can you please introduce yourself to listeners and tell us a bit about why you do this work?
I'm Rachel Davies, a financial behavioral therapist in training. I got into this work after seeing how fear and shame around money paralyze people, especially women, and after collaborating on a book with Ange Meyer. We use therapy-informed, compassionate approaches to help women reframe money from a source of stress to a usable tool, starting with how they relate to money and what they want it to be in their lives.
51: When Good Girl Conditioning Makes You Stay Too Long In Marriage and Diet Culture with SallyAnne Hartnell
Q: What does it mean to come home to yourself after separation or divorce?
She describes coming home as stripping out noise, clarifying values, and recognizing who you are beyond roles like wife or partner; it includes practical steps for managing big decisions, setting boundaries, and rebuilding a sense of belonging through self-ownership rather than external validation.
48: How to leave diet culture with Lotta Dann
Q: What are the key behaviors you stopped immediately that you think are really helpful?
She stopped the strict food rules from the diet guru, stopped weighing every food item, and began filling her mind with anti-diet content to feel less alone and more supported in the transition.
