Don’t be loyal. Listen to lots of Tai Chi podcasts, watch lots of YouTube videos. Try a few classes. I did, and I kept returning to this. A grounded (ho ho) series of reflective chats and observations about Tai Chi that are sometimes skeptical but never cynical. In an excitable and evangelical you’ve-gotta-do-it-this-way world I find the teapot m0nk a refreshing listen.
This is a nice, fun, funny and very thoughtful podcast.
I think it will be useful for Taiji practitioners of any style regardless of training goals (as long as you are comfortable working with metaphor).
One thought about the spelling question though ;D …
I find a compelling reason to use the taiji and qigong spellings (in addition to agreeing with modern romanization) is to make it clear that “ji” and “qi” are two different characters with different meanings.
