Finally an athletic podcast that doesn’t sound judgmentally narrated by some coastal journalist who’s never stepped foot in the gym or seriously performed a competitive sport. The narrators sound like they’re really bout that life and have really struggled with the same mental and physical issues that a lot of these seasoned athletes have dealt with as they near retirement. With the popularity of PEDs, these topics need to be approached objectively and with grace instead of judgment and snark. ... more
Interesting subject matter. How superficial are some humans? But way too many ads.
Very disappointing. Analysis was superficial and ultimately, nothing of substance happened.
Thought it would be more of an insider’s look. Instead it seems to be a trope about fears of aging. Though it briefly touches on what effects this has on the kids watching, really leaves one wondering if this is just an advert dressed up as a podcast. Also, when mentioning the world record failed to mention the banned swimsuits. A complete journalistic fail.
Honestly, as soon I heard Peter Theil and Donald Trump Jr were involved in this little adventure, I knew it’d be at the best Dodgy

This docuseries examines a controversial, high-profile sporting experiment built around performance enhancement. Across episodes, listeners follow athletes, physicians, and industry leaders as they navigate ethics, safety, and the economics of a world where “enhancement” could redefine sport and humanity. The narrative blends on-the-ground reporting, personal journeys, and expert context to ask who gets to decide what counts as fair play when limits are pushed and incentives are vast. A notable strength is its willingness to present intimate athlete perspectives alongside scientific and strategic viewpoints, offering a provocative lens on technology, policy, and culture in sport.
