Tracks on a mixtape hit diff! I started making mixes at 9 yrs on Just for Me cassettes - I just love the craft of it, matching tone and themes! It’s fun! My only complaint is that the songs don’t play in the background of the episodes ... I guess copyright issues... boo.
I'm enjoying this podcast. I love the topic and the fellas are funny and entertaining. I feel like part of the convo, sometimes singing the song. I'll have to make a mix of my own.
Los temas pueden ser muy interesantes. Pero para ser un podcast que habla de música y no tener al menos fragmentos de las canciones es algo decepcionante.
This is a super funny podcast that makes the listener nostalgic for all those mix tapes we spent hours and hours creating back in the day. Was there anything better than being gifted a mix tape? The format is so clever - first you hear the creator of the mix talk about the songs then download the playlist. Worth a listen for sure!
There’s not another music pod like this out there — Samer and Matt are hilarious and I love hearing them every week. Whether it’s just them talking or an interview with a guest, this podcast always makes me laugh!

A weekly music-mix show built around guest-curated themes and a shared playlist reveal. Hosts Matt and Sam guide conversations that blend personal stories, trivia, and deep dives into track selections, capturing nostalgia, storytelling, and the craft of mixtapes. The format often pairs thoughtful discussions about why a song matters with playful banter, making each episode feel like a curated listening journey rather than a traditional interview. A notable strength is the consistency of strong guest choices and the seamless way playlists are connected to themes, movies, or life moments. Enthusiasts of curated music culture, playlists, and artist storytelling will likely find this appealing, especially those who enjoy behind-the-scenes conte... more
