  • Christians listening, too.

I have been listening for many years, and I’m a priest in one of the branches of Christianity. It hurts a bit when speakers speak insensitively or in overly general, facile ways about our Christian spirituality, which can actually be greatly enhanced by Buddhist wisdom. I ask dhamma speakers to consider that it is ignorance of Right Speech to do, and hinders us all in the bonds on compassion. 🪷 Respectfully offered. Radiant silence. Peace. Metta. Samadhi. 🪷

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Grief
Q: Any advice on how to receive an emotion, such as an experience such as grief? Because a lot of people seem to wrestle with grief, either trying to resist it or suppress it, or have carried away with it.
One should open up as the watcher of grief instead of trying to make it personal; it's about being the witness to the grief without indulging or suppressing it.
Letting Go or Letting Be
Q: How to deal with the feeling of compassion fatigue while working for a Nature Conservation Charity?
If you don't feel peaceful about yourself, you cannot add love to your work; practice mindfulness and look after your well-being.
Letting Go or Letting Be
Q: How do you let go of that pattern that's a long-standing pattern of a relationship with somebody and be peaceful with that relationship?
Once you create something, you create separation, and that creates a struggle. Sometimes doing nothing is the best action.
Letting Go or Letting Be
Q: Is that an attachment to the love that I feel for them or is it, or how can I just like let go of that so I can feel more peaceful?
Letting go is not something that happens that you can do or happens by itself; it requires understanding.
Even the Sasana Will Pass Away
Q: Is Nibbana unconditional?
Yes, Nibbana is unconditioned, and it represents freedom from conditions that are impermanent.
