Q: Can you elaborate on the double consciousness that women experience?
It's the interruption of fluid movement by women's consciousness of how they are perceived, which affects their ability to participate in sports and life freely.
Banning Women
Q: What led you to want to write 'In Her Nature'?
I wanted to probe the claim that women only started running and participating in sports in the 1970s, which seemed ludicrous to me.

Q: How did you get drawn into this issue, how you discovered this issue or became involved in it in the first place?
Lecuona became involved after witnessing the cultural shift surrounding transgender issues and realizing the implications of gender ideology, particularly as it affected women's rights and the discourse surrounding femininity.
