Show use to be good but now that they put tom on it it’s awful just like everything he touches. He tries too hard to be funny, over explains his points, made a stupid growling noise in the opening of one show which was cringe. I don’t understand why mark madden who thinks everyone is stupid likes this guy. He’s clueless, a copier does not have a voice for radio and above all else hypes up the Steelers on this show but on double mms show he trashes them. Put this show out of its misery

  • Fluff, Coolness, and Talking about talking

C’mon Guys, I listened to you talk talk talk about nothing but nothing for the first 5 minutes of every one of the last week of training camp episodes. Your hair, your shopping lists, your references, you you you. We come to SNR to hear you talk about Steelers. Stop putting so much time and effort in to being hip, and talk Steelers. I interrupted my workout to go unfollow this show after forwarding through several episodes because each one was starting off with gibberish that is not training cam... more

  • Poor Radio

I don’t understand how this show has lasted so long. While Moats provides some perspective, the attempted humor and moats’ energy does little to carry the show. They both get old quick. Also, how can you do a show based on reporting what is happening with a guy not even in the state of the event he’s reporting on? It’s a great gig if you can get it. But it’s not much to listen to.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

HR 2 - McCarthy on OTA's, Roman Wilson's Sink or Swim Season
Q: What makes the Steelers' offense unique under McCarthy so far?
McCarthy emphasizes a diverse, defense-first foundation with an adaptable offense, prioritizing ball distribution and situational football while integrating a mix of run and pass concepts to fit personnel.
HR 1 - Offensive Line Configuration, Wes Uhler Joins
Q: With Rodgers in the fold, how crucial is it for the line to maximize stability on the left and protect the blind side?
Protecting Rodgers with a left-dominant line could significantly elevate the offense's efficiency, leveraging Rodgers' game brain and senior leadership while the younger interior develops, making continuity and coaching crucial over the coming months.
HR 1 - Offensive Line Configuration, Wes Uhler Joins
Q: Wes, what's your read on the left-side shift with Faltano and McCormick, and what does it mean for the rest of the line in 2026?
The left-side pairing is a natural fit given their college experience and the chemistry they've shown; it could unlock protection schemes and allow the rest of the line to settle into complementary roles, especially as the team evaluates depth at guard and tackle through OTAs and training camp.
HR 1 - Ray Fittipaldo Joins the Show, Tom's Heidenreich Take
Q: How does Rodgers' presence influence the development of Will Howard and Drew Aller?
Ray suggests Rodgers will be integrated as part of the ladder toward developing successors, providing mentorship and game-experience insights that help both Howard and Aller grow, with McCarthy viewing Rodgers as a coaching asset, not just a quarterback.
HR 1 - Ray Fittipaldo Joins the Show, Tom's Heidenreich Take
Q: Ray, what is your read on Rodgers signing and how it affects the quarterback depth chart this year?
Ray explains that Rodgers could function as a mentor and upgrade for the young quarterbacks, while McCarthy would leverage him to maximize the overall offense and keep the team competitive through 2026, with real consideration given to how training camp and the pre-season will sort the depth chart.
