Hosted by blogger and author Kimberley A. Johnson.'Start Me Up' isn't just any other podcast. I'm willing to call BS when I see it and I don't care if it's coming from a rightwinger or a self-professed bleedingheart liberal. I'm not always politically correct and I'm a huge fan of loose talk and salty language. Sarcasm is guaranteed and political correctness will be at a minimum. This podcast is f... more

  • Like a conversation over coffee

Today’s show was especially interesting because it was nice to hear two people talking about their experiences and friendships. I appreciate Kimberley’s honesty because we are all very scared right now. It’s refreshing to hear someone say they don’t have all the answers and that’s OK. The best thing about the show is that she can be talking politics, spirituality, entertainment, pop culture, etc and it’s like hanging out with friends.

  • Stop. Making. Noises.

One of the worst things a podcaster or any media broadcaster can do is make a noise after every 5 words from their guest. I tried to listen to the Bouzy interview and you had to make an audible noise constantly. It’s unfortunate you can’t just let people tak without making these little groans and yeahs. It’s most likely a flaw of some kind related to ADD or some other condition. Made it to 80% done and had to stop and unfollow. Too much content out there. Try to remain silent when your guest is ... more

  • Rehearse?

Do you practice what you’re going to say? Do you write it down? It’s very disorganized to me and that is just something that I can’t tolerate. You’re all over the place and you do a lot of hemming and hawing. Life is too short. I tried again! Can’t understand why the sound quality is so awful in this day and age. Today is February 10, 2023 and the guy you were interviewing sounded like he was in a tunnel. The tinny voice quality is offensive. I’m done

  • Trust me bro

Having such a fraud on in Christopher Bousy. He just decides what he does and doesn’t like, or more importantly what he is paid to flag down. It’s crap.

  • A Great Habit To Start

Kimberley does several shows a week, and she never grows tiresome. Some of her best podcasts are her with someone quite newsworthy, and they just chat.

She makes a interview informative without nerf ball questions.

    You should subscribe.
